100% Nebbiolo Prünent from Alto Piemonte. Prünent is an ancient parent clone of Nebbiolo. Its presence in Ossola was first documented in 1309.
Nebbiolo Superiore Prünent 'Diecibrente' Cantine Garrone is a red wine made from Prünent, a biotype of Nebbiolo native to the Ossola Valley. After spontaneous alcoholic fermentation, it ages 15 months in wooden barrels, acquiring slight spicy notes that accompany aromas of red fruit, mugwort and citrus. The palate is full and round, supported on the long and persistent finish by a good acidity. An ideal wine to pair with important first courses, red meats or a board of aged cheeses.
This wine is made in only 600 bottles. This is due to the limited production coming from the centenary single vineyard located on the alps in Pello di Trontano.
This wine can age for 20+ years.
