Collection: Fiorano - Marche

Antonio Massi and Adriana Stracci, together with their daughters Paola and Alessandra and son-in-law Paolo, are the life and soul of Fiorano: an organic farm located in Cossignano, in the heart of the province of Ascoli Piceno, in the south of le Marche, central Italy.

This area of le Marche is particularly acclaimed for the high quality of its wines. A small area of the Piceno, including Cossignano, is home to Rosso Piceno DOC and DOCG Offida Pecorino wines. Despite this, I hardly find any wines from this region in the Danish restaurants.

What makes this area unique for winemaking is its location.  On the rolling hills just 15 km from the Adriatic Sea, about 50 km from the National Park of the Monti Sibillini. This ideal meeting point between sea breezes and Apennine temperature ranges contributes to a terroir that yields exclusive wines.

Fiorano produce wines such as Rosso Piceno Superiore DOC and Offida Pecorino, which has recently been awarded the prestigious DOCG .
The soil type, typically clayey and/or sandy, is perfect for producing high quality grapes. The good temperature range, the low humidity and the breeze give rise to healthy grapes with the high-profile aromatic bouquet characteristic of Fiorano wines.

While -most of the time- natural wines are associated with orange wine, Fiorano prefers to keep the macerations short to keep the wines more "clean"; enhancing the gentle organoleptic profile of this small corner of Italy.

Salute!
